I lay in loungewear luxurious
On his bed
In Deep Queens
12 minute walk to the train
The one that doesn’t go by my house
Even while all the other ones do
I am on vacation
His scent lingers
My legs still jelly from our last encounter
Looking out the window
Trees bud in chartreuse
He sings along with Lauren
In the other room
The sound of his knife on the cutting board
Another magical meal manifesting
I am on vacation
I woke this morning in his arms
His eyes twinkled
“Good morning beautiful “
He made me coffee while I reclined
He made love to me before breakfast
Which he made for me
With the same patient care he takes with my body
Coaxing out climaxes
Freeing me of shame and inhibitions
He took me to the gardens and kissed me in every pretty spot
Took pictures of the flowers
And of us
Held my hand
Claims me proudly
I am on vacation
Wanting to take this feeling
home
